The 2nd layer of the aft (rear) athwartship also got a big buff from 287 to 368. And unlike the sides, that covers the entire citadel, above that is the turret stems which are like 439mm. Considering you have to punch through the bow first to reach those, that's pretty good protection. The bottom layer goes from 216 to 297 and the top layer goes from 287 to 368. But if a shell travels through that (bow on) it will hit the substantially thickened bow citadel armor (Athwartship). The bow itself is unchanged with that long fore end plating at 32mm. That should help it slightly for preventing side citadels. You still have citadel armor underneath it which goes from 58mm deep underwater to, 163mm underwater, 297 waterline, 307 above, 152 for the odd "citadel deck." So add 38 to those values to see about stopping citadels (not sure how different layers of armor add up). The sides, bottom most outside torpedo bulge and middle torpedo bulge, have gone from 25-38mm. So these are the changes so far as far as armor goes (at this time).
